idk if you know but your tumblr seems to be flagged as sensitive :\ your icon is blurred out
Yeah, I noticed that too.
I guess it all started because on Sunday I was trying to post this Billy x Dinah (from the punisher) gifset and it kept being flagged as adult content (which I suppose it is, but still, it's netflix, not porn). I should have quit it, I admit it now, but I changed the gifset, took down some of the most explicit gifs and posted anyway. It still got flagged, but I won the appeal. Then today when I woke up my whole blog was flagged as sensitive. Tumblr's karma is really a bitch. I have deleted the post since, and I have appealed to tumblr through their help center but so far they haven't answered me back. If they don't change it back in the next few days, I think I'm gonna start a new one because this sucks, it's impossible to have a blog like this.
But thank you for taking the time to let me know. <3
Good witch or bad witch?
Happy birthday @cassanabaratheon

cassanabaratheon replied to your post “A huge issue I have with the history side of Tumblr is this need to be...”
paragraph 2 is my biggest thing ever regarding this and when 1 book/source is used as The One and all others are wrong it's the most frustrating thing to me.
Right? Maybe it’s just the profs I’m dealing with, but I feel like every theory I hear in a lecture is immediately tempered with “but then X historian says this, and I might not agree with it but there’s an ongoing discussion”... and so on. You can’t just pick and choose from the sources that agree with your argument. You can certainly still push your own argument, but you need to acknowledge other viewpoints and counter them with evidence that you feel supports your argument.
Like, my capstone project concerns the political usage of portraits of women in Ludovico Sforza’s Milan... But I can’t just shove one paper down my adviser’s throat and say “AHA THEY AGREE WITH ME”. I also have to consider the articles that I disagree with because they usually have something to bring to the table.
cassanabaratheon replied to your post: “Would welcome any input...”:
I feel like Bunty would also like Hedy Lamarr and Katharine Hepburn?
I can definitely see her being into Hedy--the perfect blend of femininity, intelligence, and danger.
Personally, I think Kate would be more “life goals” for Bunty than “wife goals,” but she would definitely be a major influence who inspires Bunty to wear trousers, speak her mind, and drink with the boys. :)

a paragraph of fics I’ve started but not finished (slightly longer than a paragraph :P)
“What do you think you’re doing?” Laura said irritably, trying to cover up the embarrassing jump she had given at the unexpected voice.
“I said – it’s a bit cold to be sat in the church isn’t it?”
“It’s winter,” she retorted with a shrug. “Hardly unexpected weather.”
David silently shuffled the last few feet down the aisle to the pew where she had sat in the lonely church long enough for her toes to have grown numb through the old leather of a pair of Kate’s boots. Her own had been splattered by mud coming back from duty last night and she’d been in no mood to clean them before leaving the house to take up a different kind of vigil.
“I suppose not,” he said casually, sitting next to her on the pew carefully, mindful of his back. She could tell from the silent wince on his face he still wasn’t used to being so cautious and had inadvertently made one of his scars twinge but his features soon settled back into their usual pleasant amiableness and so she judged that it was best to say nothing and save his blushes. “Doesn’t explain why you’re here though.”
Home Fires @ Christmas stuff I lost momentum with.
So she considered. And smoked. And wondered how best to remain in Lucia’s good graces. All things considered she thought the best bet was probably to answer as Georgie would or else flatter ceaselessly. Or both.
"I'd agree with anything you said Lucia, you know that. I only laughed to think of Mapp's face if she were forced to part with the money something like that would cost."
Mapp and Lucia thing that I keep meaning to revisit but never do.
"She is my daughter Rosamund."
"And my niece and as she didn't want you involved I thought it best to honour her wishes.”
"You thought it best to ingratiate yourself with her, you mean!"
"Careful Cora," Rosamund’s eyes narrowed and Cora was reminded of her first season in England all too well. "You’re being childish and it doesn't suit you. Edith simply felt more comfortable talking to me, just as Rose does with you rather than Susan, although lord knows I cannot imagine why anyone would ever listen to Susan about anything."
"You shouldn't be so unkind to her," Cora said morosely, leaning back in her chair because she simply couldn't face the effort it took to sit up properly anymore. "You've always disliked her so much and I never understood it."
"She’s a ubiquitous little toad who thinks my mother is hers-" Cora rolled her eyes at the typicality because of course Rosamund's dislike would stem from sharing her much esteemed mother. "Although I must admit the last time we met her hair was looking better than ever. Almost better than yours."
Rosamund tells Cora off about Edith so I can feel cathartic fic I never finished
“He’s a child Frances and no child gets to decide how it comes to be.”
“And I’m supposed to just live with it? My husband’s child will forever be part of my business – well, no, it’ll be our business won’t it? In a few years when I’m too old and he’s grown up and no doubt he’ll want to take over and then everything will be his. The factory and no doubt this house and everyone inside it too.”
“Not necessarily-“
“Well who else am I going to leave it to? I couldn’t give Peter an heir so he did what he always did and went and sourced one from elsewhere,” she spat and Sarah felt half her heart drop into her stomach. “My husband: the intrepid businessman.”
And finally the other shoe dropped for Sarah and she took her place on the settee again, much closer this time, and took Frances’ unresisting hand in hers. She was cold to the touch and Sarah’s heart clenched as she felt the sharp bones of her sister’s hand pressing against her palm, made more prominent by months spent eating like a bird, if at all.
“I’m sure that wasn’t his intention.”
“Are you?” Frances said thickly, hand remaining limp but not pulling away. “You never exactly had a high opinion of Peter at the best of times.”
