Got this for $20. One of three amazing pieces I bought from the same guy for $20 each. It was very dusty. Took 30 minutes of scrubbing, compressed air and poking dust clots out of crevices to get it cleaned up but it works!

I've found deal after deal this month. Guess one of my spells went off. Or the universe got me a birthday present.

Used what I thought was a new cassette to record some tracks today and was panicking when the record/play transport wasn’t giving in. Turns out the tabs had been punched in on the tape. If you know, you know.

Oh god damn it you’re fucking with me, Tascam. Newly released (soon, according to this article) master cassettes developed for restored Portastudios.

Considering how rarely I record to cassette, I can’t see my supply of good quality tapes dwindling any time soon but I’d love to check one of these out.
