Yamaha MT-100 4-track cassette recorder.
Bought one of these in 1989 and had lots of fun with it. Unfortunately it 'vanished' after being lent to a ska band in 1992.
**Update** I think I may have a tape somewhere of music I made and recorded on this. I'll perhaps digitize it if I can find it.

In honor of the last post about having reached the Primordial Soup.
This is one of the ambient pieces I recorded in 1998, over the span of three days, alone with just my Roland Juno 106 and a Yamaha 4-track cassette. I mastered them all to digital in 2001, the resultant CD was called “Through A Lava Lamp, Darkly...”
Each piece builds in volume and layers, and receeds into the distance.
Track names were half serious half jokes, this one just insinuated itself.
Inorganic things come together to be...organic.
