#cassettechallenge day 6: most recent addition. In 1999, I was a dweeby seventh grader whose grasp of music didn’t go any further than Weird Al and Contemporary Christian Music. I thought DC Talk and PFR were super hard. Then, one night after youth group, my best friend showed me Zao, Project 86, and P.O.D. And it changed my life. I didn’t know music could DO that, but after hearing these bands, music was all I wanted. I recently picked up a copy of the tape that started my musical journey once and for all.
