Interactive Activations, Celebrity Meet & Greets And Live DJ’s Celebrate the Legacy and Culture of the Black College Experience
NEW YORK, NY…October 17, 2017: Urban One, the largest African-American targeted multi-media company in the country, comprised of TV One, Radio One, Reach Media, and iOne Digital and One Solution, is leveraging its collective brand power and reach to launch its HBCULOVE TAILGATE TOUR EXPERIENCE during the homecoming celebrations for Howard University in Washington D.C. and Morehouse and Spelman Colleges in Atlanta, G.A. on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21, 2017 and the Florida Blue Florida Classic football game on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18, 2017.
As a continuation of its on-going support of Black culture, popular Urban One entities, including trendsetting digital properties CassiusLife.com, HelloBeautiful.com and Bossip.com; popular TV series such as ‘Rickey Smiley For Real,’ ‘Unsung’; and local radio stations WYKS 93.9 FM and WMMJ MAJIC 102.3/92.7 FM in Washington, D.C., and WAMJ MAJIC 107.5/97.5 FM in Atlanta, GA are curating celebratory interactive experiences tailored to appeal to students, alumni and family of all ages on the campuses of the landmark historically black colleges and university (HBCUs).
Unique tailgate experiences will take place inside of the “HBCULove” branded trucks and surrounded tented areas produced by The TID Agency and will consist of live local Radio One DJ’s, virtual reality experiences presented by CASSIUS and ROOKS, a silent listening party sponsored by AT&T, an UNSUNG wall featuring vinyl albums from select artists featured on the award-winning docu-series, HELLO BEAUTIFUL selfie activations, promotional giveaways and celebrity meet & greets and more.
