What you can make about it?

You can warn everyone (and every person who likes tfc) to watch out about reposter on itch and also tell people that oficial itch page it's https://garula.itch.io/the-freak-circus.

You could report the repost page.

Report step by step:

1. Go to https://camtamz.itch.io/the-freak-curcis

2. Roll until bottom of page and click REPORT

3. Select "Uploader not authorized to distribute" and on description write "Original game it's: https://garula.itch.io/the-freak-circus"

4. Then by "Submit report" it's done

By the way, this account it's repost account basically, so if you know original game that it's reposted there, maybe you should tell original creators or its Fanbase

I tried asking them to take down the drawings and to stop using my OC, but they refused to listen and continued to repost more of my art.

It doesn't matter if they're giving credit. It's not okay to repost people's art or use their OC's.

So, I mainly just want to vent about this, yet another situation where my gif is stolen and the person doesn't want to take accountability. (It's long af btw.)

I spotted this fics and what do you know. There is one of my gifs, (the bottom one) and no shoutout or tag for crediting me in sight.

and before I call people out, I do my due diligence and make sure I'm not tripping by comparing size, color and the content of the gif. Sometimes I even ask a friend to make sure I'm not seeing shit. I made a calling out comment and the reposter responded. This gif happens to be on my other blog stephendorff, which is where the conversation took place.

Exactly the-fucking-same. Same size, quality, same frame rate, same amount of frames, same coloring. Now I can believe that someone can have the same quality, same frame rate, the amount of frames in a gif by sheer coincidence, but the one thing I don't believe is getting the exact same fucking COLORING. Now here's a screen grab from the movie:

To any gif maker mutuals who have taken the time to read this rant, I'm sure that you've noticed how WARM that scene is. See, the way I see it, gifmakers have at least one thing that makes them stand out from others, and that is their Coloring. That is exactly how time and time again I'm able to tag gifmakers (even ones i'm not mutuals with!!) about posts that have stolen their gifs, because I recognize their work and most times it's because of their coloring.

And I know my fucking coloring. I don't like heavy warmth in my gifs and I suck it right out to the max, where sometimes my shit looks dull af, but that's how I like it. This user is not about to lie to me and say they made the gif they put in their fic on a website like ezgif and get the same exact result as I did in Photoshop. 🤬

I tried to recreate my gif, without coloring just to prove how the movie looks naturally without coloring, and it also brought up another point of contention for me:

There is no fucking way they also got the SAME close up that I did on Jake. Putting the Warm one up against the one I made

The distance of where Jake is placed, is off. There is no fucking way they managed to get the same placement of Jake & close up that I did!! There is no fucking way!! I'm so exhausted by people lying and not doing the simplest thing by crediting!!! 😤🤬
