The Fairies
Fairies only exist in tales
Mommy says
But I know that’s a lie
I see them every night
They talk to me
and say that Mommy is a cheater
and that Daddy is a slouch
That I am the one they want to take to their house
But I tell them
I’m too big to fit in a small house
They say that they will make it bigger
I tell them Mommy does not take tests
and that Daddy goes to work everyday
They say that I am the chosen one
That Daddy is a womanizer
and Mommy is a crazy lady
I tell them that is not true
The fairies say that they will take me to their magic garden
to play with me
I tell them Mommy won’t let me
and that Daddy is too busy to say yes
They say that Mommy is a bad Mommy
and that Daddy is a bad Daddy
I tell them maybe
They smile at me
They say that they can make me fly so high I won’t be able to breathe
and that they can invite me to dinner with Mommy and Daddy
The fairies say that they can be part of the dinner I will eat
I did not understand what they said
But Mommy and Daddy will go to dinner with me and the fairies
It’s going to be super yummy!
