Now, I actually gave him some that make sense stylistically. Anyway, Gray Claw is the second in command on Jewel's ship and is considered one of the toughest amongst her crew. For a moment, there was a small romance between him and Quill Pen that didn't last for long but he still likes to tease Quill from time to time. Quill was brought onto Jewel's ship after losing a race to get to a piece of treasure.
