Red Rock Lightning
Lichtenberg scarring on a man’s skin after being struck by lightning.
Rrufe
sometimes i’m chill and then i remember that eddie diaz got knocked back from the force of the lightning strike traveling through the ladder, sending him off the truck and onto the pavement, and still counted three minutes and seventeen seconds from then, immediately climbing up the ladder with no harness to try and pull back up before realizing he had to let him down, all the way until when chim and hen realized using the defib on buck wouldn’t work cause he was in cardiac arrest with no pulse and therefore chim just. climbed on the gurney that held his dead dying brother. and eddie knew it was three minutes and seventeen seconds from the strike until buck received CPR. eddie knew, because he has medical training, that the 3-4 minute drive to the hospital, with him behind the wheel and bobby next to him and hen and chim trying to restart buck’s heart, that it was gonna be at least 6-7 minutes between buck getting struck from the sky and being taken care of by doctors. that he was probably still counting when the ambulance doors opened and he jumped on buck’s gurney himself, not letting chim do it, until his hands were the ones to bring buck’s pulse back. and it worked. eddie was the one to bring buck back to life. chim announced the pulse and eddie jumped off, bobby yelled out his age and allergy, and when eddie heard someone say they’d try their best, eddie just yelled do more. he stood there crying with the people who view buck as their brother, their son, under their arms and dripping water all over the ER floor, not knowing if his buck was going to stay alive this time.
and then i’m not so chill.
