Anon requested- Hey could you do a Destiel AU where Cas is an artist and Dean loves his art but he's very secretive about his art. When Cas goes out for something he leaves his sketchbook and Dean goes through it and finds a portrait of himself with little hearts around it. You can finish the end however you want! Thanks, 😍😍♡♡♡♡♡
"Cas, your art is great!" Dean picked up one of the various canvases and took a long look at it. The noticeable brush strokes gave the picture texture and the blended strokes gave it a nice smooth finish. This picture was of a bee pollinating a rose. "Romantic, yet bubbly." Dean thought, Castiel took the painting out of Dean's hands and laid it back where it goes. When Dean grabbed the sketchbook Castiel's eyes widened.
"Dean! That one isn't finished, you can't look at it!" Dean put the book down, raising one eyebrow and cocking his head.
"But you let me look at the rest of your work." Castiel could tell Dean was hurt, but took the notebook with care, carefully putting it back on the bookshelf in his room. Castiel sighed heavily and ushered Dean out of his room, saying he had to work on something important. Instead, Castiel took the notebook and flipped through it, to a section of pages he knew far too well. He brushed his fingers lightly over the sketch he had started, being careful not to smudge it. He picked up his pastels that sat in an angel-winged jar and began to color in the sketch, looking to where the light would fall and where the natural shadows would go. Once he was almost finished and pastel oil and wax covered his hands, he cleaned up and went to lunch with his brother Gabriel. They did this often and when Dean got home he wasn't surprised to Castiel being absent. He was curious about what was in the sketchbook and went straight into Castiel's room to look for it. When he found it, his fingertips traced over the sketchbook's cover, his mind debating whether or not to look through it. What could he be hiding anyways? Dean opened the book and was met with a bright yellow bee with the name Castiel written in a calligraphy-like fashion. Dean smiled and continued to look through it, amazed at how lifelike and detailed his sketches and drawings were, especially the oil pastels. Those were his favorite. Then he flipped towards the end and saw a picture of him. It was when they had eaten dinner together last week and Dean was laughing at a joke Castiel had made. The detail to the amount of emotion held in Dean's face amazed him. He included the small crow's feet that laid by his eyes and the green he used was perfect. The strokes were uneven but that gave the art more texture and more meaning. It showed the joyful smile on Dean's face and he didn't notice Castiel open the door.
"Dean!" Castiel stood at the door, dropping his keys and running towards the book, snatching it away from Dean's hand. Castiel quickly asked him,
"How much did you see?" Dean looked at Castiel and walked closer to him, then planted a small kiss on his lips, Castiel too wide-eyes to respond.
"Enough." Dean grasped the sketchbook and put it on a chair, then told Castiel,
"I liked the hearts around it." Castiel blushed and smiled, then put his arms around Dean and kissed him, passion burning through the kiss. Castiel gripped at Dean's hair and felt him smile, then break the kiss. Castiel was the one who spoke first,
"I'm glad you like me." Dean nodded in agreement and said,
"You should let me look at your work more often." A chuckle followed.
Remember, just go to my ask to request! I usually don’t answer them because then they go away and I have to hunt for them, so just look for my posts and you should find yours.
