Exactly. And that meta about how John could have chosen to raise the boys in a normal life is ridiculous because that means the show wouldn’t exist, lol, or Sam could have easily become Lucifer’s vessel, John and Dean would probably be dead. So no. People just need to stop and take the time to actually analyse the character just like they do with Sam, Dean and Castiel. (Thank you for not hating him)
