When you copy a card and then cast the copy- does the copy exist in the zone it was when it was copied?
Like with Spelltwine- are the copies cast from exile?

Yes, that's exactly the case.
707.12. An effect that instructs a player to cast a copy of an object (and not just copy a spell) follows the rules for casting spells, except that the copy is created in the same zone the object is in[...]
With Spelltwine, you'll cast the copies from exile. With God-Eternal Kefnet, you'll cast the copy from your hand.
