Anvil mold pattern at the Fisher Norris museum : they used patterns for different anvil sizes, and styles. It took all week to make a mold. they poured iron on Friday . A steel plate was in the mold and it welded to the iron as it was poured, the steel was preheated and fluxed for the weld.
