Castle Duurstede

New personal project i worked on. Inspired by an abandoned castle in Duurstede and created my own 3D version out of it. I tried to put most of the focus on the main tower, putting more quality in material design and the looks of the destruction.

It is a typical Dutch/Europe 19th century scene, a romantic environment with broken buildings and characters. It was the first time i worked with my own scanned models and textures. I tried to put them in scene without distracting the main focus and take over the scene.

Spent 1.5 week on this scene, including research. I build a new 64 GB Ram rig including AMD Threadripper, however, this CPU does not work with Blender so i had to fallback on my old Intel 32 GB ram rig to complete the scene.
