Can I tell you one of my favorite irrelevant half secrets of the world?

The sound effects of thunder, recorded for Frankenstein (1931) went on to be used for decades. TV, movies, commercials, cartoons. You name it, it was there.

I think about it a lot.

Whenever I hear it, I like to think, "that is my friend! That is my impossibly successful friend!"

(Is it wrong to want to be friends with a sound effect?)

Summerfest!

We'll be playing our second live show of the summer tomorrow afternoon at Summerfest in Milwaukee at 4:30 on the Cascio/WMSE Groove Stage. Worrier, Sleepcomesdown and Castle Thunder are a few of the other excellent MKE bands that will also be at the stage tomorrow. We'll be mixing a new jam into the set, and will probably be our last show for a bit while we continue working on songs for a new album. So come on out and bring your friends, children, dogs, neighbors, neighbors' dogs and softball team.
