Funny how runs go. Last week I was huffing and puffing, tripping over roots and cursing the sport of trail running. Today I actually felt like a runner. I had speed on the downhills, steady pace on uphills and actually could control my breathing. If you look at last week’s post you can see I added an extra mile in the same time. What a difference 6 days can make. Same trails, totally different runner. Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. I can only come up with 3 possible answers. 1. Last week I was still recovering from #ragnarrelay. 2. I was still transitioning from road to trail running. 3. The Running Gods wanted to have a little fun at my expense.
