What may seem empty today may become abundant and overflowing tomorrow. In the bible we read that Peter's boat was empty, didn't even have one fish in it after some tough labour during the night. Next day, Jesus came down that way, and asked Peter if He could use his boat to minster to people by sitting in his boat. Peter was willing to do as Jesus requested. After a while Jesus told Peter to take the boat a bit further into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. For that Peter answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." This amazes me, this guy is a chef fisherman, who has been in this business since childhood. And Jesus doesn't know anything about fishing, because He is carpenter by profession. But Peter saw something unique in Jesus, he knew this guy is not just a carpenter. In a sense Peter was just willing to have another attempt. First Peter gave his boat. Secondly he listened and obeyed the words of Jesus. Finally the result was surprising as ever, the net was full, more than what the net could contain. So he called his colleagues to come down and give him a hand. The boat was abundant and overflowing! You may not know Jesus like your friends do. He may just be a leader, prophet, father or a good teacher to you. That's fine! Why not give Him a try? Today give Him some space in your life, and listen and give into His word. You'll see your empty life will become abundant. Fans/people in general are too much sometimes (a lot of the time). Sometimes people need to mind their own business. But I guess you could say that if it’s on a public forum, it’s everyone’s business.
