SOULPHONETICS own Caswel James aka I AM NEMESISNINE realeases his debut album, “King of Nostalgia” today!!!

Chicago’s world music scene is Caswell James’ playground. As a music producer, DJ and record label owner (SON YI Records)he strives to keep the scene filled with timeless tracks true to the rich culture of the city and its loyal music lovers.  “I love playing something from 1969 and people asking,“is that new?” It’s nice to know that can I still make the crowed move from a song that someone made 20 or 30years ago – new is not necessarily better when it comes to music.”  Caswell was raised in Chicago with roots from Belize and the Caribbean. His respect and ear for good music kicked off in 2001 when he began experimenting with House music and world sounds.  “I started playing house music with a tribal feel and started to incorporate world music soon after so my vibe was healthy, I like to call it good for the soul, making you feel good inside.” Rasta Man Vibration by Bob Marley remains one of his all time favorites as what he calls the sound track for human rights. A set by Caswell often includes music that moves everywhere, house, funk, Latin, and Reggae. His vision for discovering new music is as diverse as his collection.  “If I like a band or artist I see what side projects they have, I find out who the drummer is, if I like the piano player I find out if they have any other groups. I look into producers mostly the behind the scenes team- they are usually doing other great projects.” 
  Looking to expand his range in the music scene, his upcoming project, King of Nostalgia, a full-length album as producer (I AM NEMESISNINE) under his label, will showcase music outside of his DJ set.   Continue to expect Caswell on the ground running and taking his production work to new levels under his label SON YI Records, while presenting new artists promoting the world music movement he has strengthen and grown for Chicago and the world. And above all he warns, “Good music can cause happiness.

I AM NEMESISNINE debut album, “King of Nostalgia” is an elegant approach to electronic music. He has achieved an eclectic romance between music and science. With elements of natural instruments and the electronic sounds that he has obtained during his time growing up in Chicago creates a combination that can only be described as poly rhythmic. The album, “King of Nostalgia” has a cinematic entity that tells a story from beginning to end of the abuse that man has inflicted on the earth for centuries. It describes happiness, sadness, and chaos back to peacefulness; not the end of time, but of better days.  The way I AM NEMESISNINE has put together this album is an urban landscape soundtrack that will make you turn up the elements around you.
