It started off as a way for you to bring the outside in, surrounding the bunker with flowers. But once Dean grumbled about them, you kept them restricted to your room.
Cas didn't realize it, but he missed having the flowers around, a constant little reminder of you, and how you brighten his days without even trying.
You notice. You like to keep out of the way more often than not, which has resulted in you accidentally spying on your little family.
You didn't mean to of course, but from the way you make yourself small to your quiet nature, they don't often notice you.
You watch as Cas holds a wilted daisy, staring at it longer than most would.
But Cas was never really like anyone else.
From then on, you always came back from your walks with extra flowers, specific ones you'd picked just for him. Cornflowers, bluebells, a few miniature ferns and a stray dandelion every now and then.
The first time you give them to him, you're too nervous just to walk up to him, though you feel more than comfortable in his presence. Instead, you leave them next to the book he's reading when his head is turned.
You watch happily from the side as he furrows his brows before smiling slightly at them.
The second time, you tuck them in his coat pocket. He'd taken it off for whatever reason, looking strange without it. You ducked in, pulled the pocket back and dropped the flowers in before leaving in the same rush.
You didn't see his face that time, but you didn't have to to know he smiled once again, this time even more so.
It became a tradition of sorts, until he caught you.
You were just leaving another bouquet behind when you felt his grip on your wrist. You flinched immediately and it softened, but he didn't let go.
He pulled you back gently, not forcing you, just guiding you to him.
You don't meet his eyes, fixating on his tie instead, the dip to it, the way it sits so casually around his neck.
He's bad with words, not knowing what to say, when to say it. So instead, he wraps his arms around you, a little awkward, but full of love.
He holds you close and you nuzzle into his warmth. After a while, it's just quiet enough that you can hear the faintest purr, involuntary sure, but it came out for a reason.
Deer!Reader was hunted for her antlers, making her very untrusting. She takes time and a lot of care to warm up to someone.
Puppy!Sam is the first person Deer!Reader trusts, his soft and caring nature much needed when they first find her.
The pair soon become friends, enjoying time outside together. Sitting in the sun, her finally feeling free, him finally feeling seen.
Deer!Reader spends lots of time crafting sweet little gifts for her boys. She loves picking bundles of wildflowers for each of them. Dog!Dean acts tough, puffs his chest out and all, but the second he sees that flicker of hurt in her eyes, he's kissing her cheeks and forehead like she'll break.
Deer!Reader is stronger than she looks. She appears soft and sweet, timid even, which she is, but don't underestimate her, those antlers are not for decoration.

Deer!Reader takes his time with the boys initially. He has trouble trusting anyone since he was hunted for his antlers, but he has trouble with Dog!Dean specifically, seeing how rough and ultimately scary he can be.
Though Deer!Reader is afraid of Dog!Dean in the beginning, it doesn't take long for him to warm up to the jaded hunter, finding solace and comfort in his protective side.
Deer!Reader makes a special little place for himself in the woods outside the bunker. He makes a pile of branches, turning them into a covering of sorts. It's not much but it's a little shelter out there, letting him feel safe.
Cat!Cas finds Deer!Reader's shelter, and though he's confused, he accepts it all within a moment, sitting beside Deer!Reader, not asking why, just content to sit and watch nature together. As the hours tick by and the sun is replaced by the moon, Cat!Cas starts to feel sleepy, though he rarely fully sleeps, he gets that feeling at times. He moves to rest his head on Deer!Reader's shoulder, and though he flinches at first, he soon melts into the feeling, very happy to be trusted in this state, even seen as protective maybe.

do you think cat cas knew he liked having head pats prior to meeting reader? I like to think he’ll just stare whenever he wants pats lmfao
He had no clue. He hasn't experienced much physical touch in general, let alone something kind and sweet. The first time you do it, he just sits there, he's not bothered by much so it doesn't upset him, but the second you scratch behind his ears? His shoulders drop and he leans into your palm adorably.
After that, he becomes addicted, and if he wants head pats, he'll stand even more abnormally close, sometimes brushing your hand, not enough to be asking persay, but enough to get your attention after a while.
And yes, he would 100% just stare at your hand too. Especially if you're holding a knife while Dean sorts them or a book you're only half reading. Why is your hand occupied with something it doesn't need to be when it could be scratching at his soft lil ears, hm? Why.
Cas isn't great with emotions, like at all. But since Rowena's spell, he seems to have gotten a little better. He still has trouble understanding things, but he has this way of knowing when you're feeling down.
He watches you from the corner of his eye, your movements, the way everything seems a little harder for you than usual.
He doesn't know how to approach, but he tries.
He'll wait until you're sitting down, usually reading a lore book or watching TV, and he'll sit beside you.
He never says anything, he just sits right next to you and rests his head on your shoulder.
A smile cracks, followed by a huff of a laugh as you lean further back, arm reaching around him. Your fingers thread through his hair, inching up to his ears, giving the fluffy little things a scratch.
He knows how much you like it, so he lets you pat him for as long as you need. It's not like he exactly dislikes it either.
After a while, you usually press a number of kisses to his forehead and the top of his head, still scratching along his ears. You know you've done your job right when you hear a very quiet, low purr emanating from his chest. The sound vibrates through you, filling you with a warmth you really needed today.
If you still need him, he'll either lay on top of you or in your lap, his presence steady and grounding. You keep threading your fingers through his hair, and, if he's really relaxed, his hands will come up, gently pressing against your stomach, making biscuits.
It's just about the cutest thing you've ever seen, and it cheers you up a hell of a lot.

Bunny!Reader lives in his boys' laps. All he wants in life is to curl up with Cat!Cas on the couch, lay his head in Dog!Dean's lap or argue with Puppy!Sam over who is cuddling who this time.
Bunny!Reader is just about the sweetest person anyone could ever meet. He's generous and kind, and when it comes to his boys, he melts after a small smile from any of them. Some days they swear he's made of sugar, but he claims he's just sweet in nature.
Bunny!Reader braids daisies for his boys. It was something he learned as a kid and he always loved it. He goes on walks with them and sometimes he picks up daisies on the way and braids simple little bands for their wrists. Dog!Dean thought he tricked Cat!Cas into placing some daisies in Bunny!Reader's hair, turns out, everyone's a fan and somehow, it makes him even cuter.
Bunny!Reader loves his sweets. He always carries some on him and offers them around, as long as he still has a few in reserve. On the rare occasion he forgets his little bag of treats, one, or three, of his boys have some on hand. Puppy!Sam and Dog!Dean are menaces for them, they end up eating half of them before Bunny!Reader even has the chance, but they're always forgiven in the end.

Bunny!Reader is loyal to a fault. She loves her boys no matter what they do and she'll always let them come back, with whatever mangled apologies they come up with.
Bunny!Reader is incredibly sweet. She's so kind to her boys, so soft, making them feel better whenever they need it, always there for them with open arms and a fuzzy cotton tail.
Bunny!Reader puts up with a lot. Dog!Dean teases her relentlessly, finding a new little nickname for her every day. Puppy!Sam is just an all around menace and Cat!Cas will not stop playing with her ears and tail.
