James sat quietly, the waters of Lake superior gently lapping at the shore in front of him. The only sound he made, breaking the silence was when he sipped his coffee, feeling the cold breeze off of the lake wake him up just as much as the cup. His silence gave him time to appreciate the beauty of nature outside of the City. The morning sun’s reflection shimmering on the lake, crows calling, the waves, and assorted wonders mixing into a symphony that cleansed the taint of Neo-Detroit from his soul. He made a note to himself to bring Cat up sometime...she would enjoy the time away from the responsibilities of running the business.
