Cat Mayhem Night

I tried to give M the Cat subcutaneous fluids tonight because he just looked off. He was NOT having it. Various surfaces in the bathroom are now bathed in saline because he would NOT hold still. We only got about half a dose in, but hopefully he will be more cooperative in the morning.

I was not a very patient Cat Mom because needles and wiggly kitties usually lead to humans getting needlesticks. So I got a little loud and frustrated. Then I came downstairs in time to see N the Cat puking.

Thanks kitties. I’m feeling the love tonight. If either one of you wakes me up to puke on me there will be CONSEQUENCES.

Advanced Feline Mayhem

The cats have been engaging in Advanced Feline Mayhem today. When I was trying to brush my teeth to go to brunch today, N threw up on the hall carpet outside the bathroom and then M tried to eat it. It was so much fun to try to push him away with my injured foot while still brushing my teeth in my underwear and not step in it, but I managed.

This afternoon M demanded to sit on me on the couch and when he did he turned his butt to me to show a large turd hanging from it. I was on the phone at the time. As I’m trying not to shriek into the phone, D took the opportunity to claw my shoulder.

This evening I went to put on some disposable gloves to do some very icky cleaning and retrieve my trash cans. M had thrown up last week and managed to spatter the packet the gloves came in. Well played, M. Well played. In fairness, they shouldn’t have been on the floor. In reality, they were on the floor because M knocked them down when he fell off the ledge again and gave me a heart attack.

This isn’t regular feline mayhem. This is not for amateurs.

my adorable (dumb) cat ran away with a stranger cat (he’s done this before) and it’s below freezing with -0 windchill temps out. he’s been gone for nearly a day now, which is longer than he’s ever been gone before. sigh. he better come home. (and i’m not at home, i’m in the wrong city, so i can’t go for walks to find him until tuesday, and that might be too late)
