heya so uh ive been pretty confident in my aro identity for a bit now but now its startin to feel a little shaky?? like i have a squish on my friend but i really dont know if its a crush now. and one of my main reasons for being aro was that i never really got crushes but maybe i was just really behind everyone else?? idk i just hate questioning and not knowing stuff

Questioning can be very hard and scary but it’s also something that can lead to great things like a deeper understanding of ourselves. I know how it can feel to think you’ve finally got yourself figured out and then doubt creeps back in, but you will be okay, and you will learn more about yourself. i don’t think self-discovery ever really ends.

The important thing is to know that it is fine if you’re not aro, if you change your identity, people grow and change all the time and you should use whatever label feels right for you at any point in time. and if you decide you don’t want a label, thats fine too

My cat knows what it means when I shake my head at him. And if I do it when I'm not looking at him, he "Prrrtt?"s at me questioningly until I say "Not you, bubby" or "Oh sorry, Orph. You're okay." He's such a good boy.
