Druid!tav as a cat snuggling as a cat has me straight up biting the walls it’s so good ausjdjsjs. Do you think at some point astarion would ask gale to temporarily polymorph him into a cat so they could cat cuddle together

And yes, 100% Astarion would do this but not, perhaps, for the reason you'd think of at first...
Astarion would approach Gale with payback on his mind at first. This man could never admit to himself he is doing it because he craves more.
Gale sees right through him though, listening to his request to be turned into a cat to play a similar trick on you with a small, knowing smirk. Much to Astarion's annoyance.
"Look, can you do it, or not?" "Of course I can, what do you take me for?" "Just swear you will turn me back as soon as they fall for it." "Wizards promise."
What Astarion didn't know is it was pretty damn obvious it was him. A bright white cat with pink-red eyes? Very inconspicuous.
You would clock him as he sauntered up and had to hold in your laughter, eyes softening as 'cat-starion' hoped up onto one of your crates and stare at you before knocking something off of the top.
It took all your energy not to break out cackling as he continued to weave himself in and out of your things, knocking everything over both on purpose and by accident judging by the way he seemed to make himself jump as your water flask clattered to the ground.
Gale, on the other hand, was stood a few feet away, laughing himself as you shot him a knowing look, eyebrow raised, knowing he had something to do with it all.
