Cookies for All
Today was the day. Kara had not heard from Adam in some time. Quite a few years had passed since she had met him, hurt and scared, in her forest, and while he had visited and called her frequently as he grew, it has still been a month since the last contact. So when he had called again, with the news that he had a boyfriend and wanted to visit and introduce him, the motherly dragoness was delighted.
Despite the cold, Kara managed to get a hold of some fresh vegetables and roots, and was had just finished arranging the table with the glazed carrots and turnips, the mashed potatoes, and adding the finishing touches to the rosemary encrusted elk roast when she heard the knock.
The dragoness bustled to her front door, and opened it wide. "Adam! Good to... Aari?" Her enthusiastic greeting of the one she had watched grow was interrupted by her delighted recognition of the half demon standing next to Adam. "Well this is a surprise! Come in though. Lets get you two out of the cold."
