listening: other than my breakup playlist, which has been consistently in rotation, i was vibing with Tea for the Tillerman by Yusuf

Saw a fox while running home. Turf grass and rocks are embedded in my knees and she brushes them gently from my skin. Remembering listening to the late night shipments being delivered to the loading dock behind my house when I was eight and dreaming of gas steam. Rain city.

The humidity is something you have to wade through alike to pressing against a turnstile with your waist, I can feel it pass through my fingers when I wave my arms through the air. It feels like steam is rising from my skin and drifting out the open window of my room. Drinking wine in the backyard while rainfall softly begins. Walking backwards watching the burning blue summer sky. I found a massacred bird in the park, the soft feathered body crumpled. I am longing for a body.
