If you've not tried it, why not sign up to LibraryThing and see if you like it? New accounts set up this weekend will get free 'premium account' status for 12 months.
Basic accounts are free anyway, but users can only add 200 books, so to add more you have to pay a one-off fee of $25 which gives you a lifetime account. This weekend's special offer has been set up to help out folks leaving Goodreads since they announced they'd been bought out by Amazon.
