Elden Farkhad is mostly XIV Farkhad, but he's been nerfed (no catboy /joy emote). Perhaps a little more marinated, and a little more dead/not dead simultaneously. They left that catboy too long in the sauce!

A little of both. He's still as starved for touch as he starts off in his regular world, but he's much more careful about it. The last time he had a hug, he got very singed :)

[ 🦇 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat is a fear they never talk about ?

Unlike in XIV, he definitely fears being left alone, because he's struggling to hold onto himself far more. He also fears losing his creative spark. Both of these things are already beginning to happen by the time he reaches the ruined capital and start to impact what he feels is best for his journey.

[ 🌒 ]ㅤ.ㅤdo they have a dream or goal they have given up on ?

He once wanted to be an artist, and then to build a great wonder. He can barely remember why he wanted to do these things any more, only that it felt very important to him.

[ 🌀 ]ㅤ.ㅤdo they have a recurring dream or nightmare ?

A great fire. He's not sure what it means, but later on in his journey he thinks it means he's doing the right thing, even if every dream leaves him shaken. He also dreams of tall spires and sprawling buildings that he loves to explore till he wakes up. Those dreams are far kinder.

OC ASKS

10- does your oc have a best friend? Farkhad doesn't currently have a best friend, exactly, as due to events several years ago he hasn't been in contact with the architects for a very long time. He also doesn't have very good memories of his three old friends, due to the dying-and-coming-back-wrong-repeatedly issue. Common problem with being an architect really :)

11- does your oc have siblings? Miqo'te tend to have vastly more girls than boys in families, and Farkhad has a lot of sisters! When he remembers them he misses them a great deal.

12- does your oc have a child/children? Unlike Áine, after Endwalker Farkhad is retired from adventuring (officially, though he keeps getting called up to join shenanigans) and does settle down. He has two children, Kari and Elodie. He's also unofficial uncle to far too many of the teens and young adults in the cast, because he will pick you up from some embarrassing or dangerous event and help you out no questions asked.

13- what makes your oc laugh? Early on, not much! Later he gets much more relaxed and can be caught out with terrible jokes. He will also laugh at you if you try to fight him and fail miserably, but really people should see that coming more often.

14- what makes your oc cry? Farkhad is an angry crier, if he gets worked up enough. Otherwise he'll try to keep a stiff upper lip about his emotions.

15- what is your oc favourite food? If it has rice and meat in it he's very much enthusiastic, but he also really likes dizi, coffee flavoured desserts, and baklava!

OC ASKS

1- what inspired you to pick that OC’s name? Áine's name is actually shared with my KOTOR 2 character. I liked the name, didn't know what I wanted to call my elf when I made them, and figured I would change it/make a new character later. I did not do that :)

Farkhad is named after Farkhad from Pathologic because he is Farkhad from Pathologic, if he were not-dead, cursed, and also a catboy for some reason.

5- what is important in a relationship (platonic or romantic) for this OC? For Áine, mutual trust. They've been let down a lot by people in their youth and it's important for them to be someone others can rely on and trust to follow through. They also like to make the most of time with others, as they travel a lot due to MSQ shenanigans. They make a point to stop by and visit old friends whenever they're nearby.

Farkhad values making memories with other people and spending time with those who share his passions. He'll happily talk someone's ear off about philosophy, architecture, or math, but he'd prefer to have a true discussion and hear the other person's opinions.

17- what is your oc weapon of choice? Both my wols have several jobs/classes I consider to be somewhat or entirely canon, but their main jobs are white mage/black mage (Áine) and summoner/sage (Farkhad). So Áine uses a cane heavily and Farkhad has books and laser beams.

I've put more thought into how Áine functions in combat, and my headcanons are a cane doubling as a rod for both types of magic, weapons of light (sword and shield) for paladin influence, and chakrams to fall back on for dancer attacks.
