omg, guys, today was so, so awesome that i actually want to talk about it in detail!!!

okay, quick back-story first! so i have these really awesome high school friends named julia and, on the internet at least, kirin. (dunno if kirin would appreciate me flinging her real name around so casually, lol!) after the three of us graduated, julia migrated to canada. it's been nearly three years since then but she's finally come back to visit!!! naturally, the three of us planned a reunion. we basically just ate and talked all day but i had sooooo much fun! ;u;

we met up at around 12 for lunch. we ate at this filipino restaurant. the food was good and really fucking expensive. julia, who is extremely beautiful and amazing, somehow paid for the ENTIRE bill. please excuse my shitty photography which i am too lazy to edit.

after eating, we went to this man-made lake filled with koi fish.

i wasn't kidding when i said it was filled with koi fish.

seriously, is it even alright to allow this many of them to stay in one area????? i mean, the lake itself is big but they all gather at the edges because people feed them there. anyways, after watching the ridiculously massive horde of koi fish swim around for a while, we went to starbucks for dessert.

after eating, we went to a bookstore. i didn't take any pictures there, though. we browsed through some of the sections, had some laughs at an ecchi manga i saw, looked at the stuff in the scrapbook materials aisle, etc.

and then we went to kirin's house! our original plan was to go to kirin's subdivision's activity center to watch movies so we walked there.

but then we found out about the outrageous prices...

so we scrapped the idea and walked back to kirin's house.

it was a really hot day btw. walking out in that blistering heat was awful. well, in any case, we got back quickly. on our way to kirin's room, i noticed the wall clock in the upstairs living room.

it was really, REALLY hot. that's fucking summer temperature.

i was still pretty full from lunch but they served us ice cream and cake as soon as we got back and i am honestly not the sort of person to ever turn down ice cream or cake.

after a bit more eating and talking, kirin brought out her share of our old notebook fanfics from high school. we basically spent a long time laughing our asses off at our past selves...

...and those are only the ones kirin has. i have some and our other high school friend who we've lost touch with also has some. ah, shameful memories from my youth...

after spending a considerable amount of time screeching at our past stupidity, we spent a considerable amount of time watching supernatural.

we even ate dinner while we were watching! they served us really yummy lasagna. me and julia liked it but kirin didn't.

at some point, my dad texted me so we decided to wrap things up. we watched some more supernatural, finished eating dinner and laughed at our old fanfics again.

kirin's mom gave julia a lot of presents and kirin felt bad that i didn't get anything so she gave me korean pocky and let me borrow her copy of devil survivor.

all in all, it was a pretty fucking great day!!! i ate a crap load of food and got to talk about gay, fictional characters with cool people who i really, really, REALLY missed.
