So tired of hearing people parrot the line about how much better modern medicine is for pregnancy and birth. Unless you fully understand the massive drop in knowledge due to male doctors seeing unrealized profit in the field of midwifery and pushing women out of their *most relevant* field then you do not have an informed opinion on the matter. Like yeah we have fewer medical emergencies now that we're not strapping women to the stretcher and putting them completely under for the duration of birth but that is *not* how people gave birth for thousands of years.
