tldr: It was really chill because of a lot of awesome people and I'm excited for next year
You know, Newcon was actually chill as hell. There wasn't much to do but, well, there wasn't much to do last year either. It's a really small convention, but it's still only two years in. I wasn't really expecting a Kumori or Sakura level con, so I wasn't disappointed at all.
Everyone I talked to agreed that this is a convention that kind of sucks if you don't have cool people to spend it with, and thankfully I had some VERY cool people with me for the weekend. Mini was there and I haven't been able to actually spend time with her in over a year so I'm SO happy I got to at newcon, it's hard to believe I've known her for over four years now. I got to see Sofia and chill with her beautiful ass and get hit on by weird mall guys and walk to places in way too little clothing together, and I'm so glad I got to. She introduced me to some pretty cool people (Brett, Emily, and Mikel) and hanging them was awesome, and very very entertaining.
I actually spent a lot of the second day in the artist booth with my cosplay partner and brother manning the booth and playing lots of DS (So, so many warriors for my MiiPlaza game) and talking to the artists next to me and just hanging out was surprisingly fun! Day two night was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, filled with Cards against Humanity and partying with friends back in the hotel room. I got to chill with Sophie for a while, and I'm really happy about that since we never get to hang and she's super amazing. I didn't really go to day three, so I can't say much about it.
There was a lot of cosplayers that I got to see but didn't spend all that much time with (Sam, Josh, Melanie, Cara, Gil, Ella) and I wish I'd spent more time with you guys, you all looked cute as shit in your cosplays and I was really really happy to see you all <3 I need to spend time with you all more at the next convention when I'm not super distracted.
Overall, Newcon was very small and not extremely eventful, but I had a really really great time because of all of the wonderful people there. I can't wait for next year since we'll actually have a bigger venue with more things, and I hope I get to see all of my lovelies at Sakuracon!
