This post has been going around Facebook and Twitter, so let’s bring it here too.
Basically, the Portland lolita community brought Wunderwelt Lolita Fashion to Newcon and they sold via proxy in the dealer’s hall. Newcon thanked Wunderwelt by withholding their $2000 in profits and claimed they “accidentally” used them. As of now, Wunderwelt is 3 months past when they were supposed to be paid.
DO NOT SUPPORT NEWCON. There has been a lot said over the years, and this is the 5th year in a row where some sort of issue like this has come to light. The con chair (Michael Anderson) is known to embezzle convention funds for his own use.
Please share and spread the word, do not support a con that doesn’t pay its dealers or guests.

My friends and I cosplayed Miraculous Ladybug villains (I’m Lady Wifi) for New Con PDX last/this year. Even made some new friends!
I loved having a new year’s countdown with other cosplayers. For the formal ball I created what I’m calling “Queen Wifi”--my headband lights up! I got my prop signed by Cristina Vee, the English voice actor of Ladybug herself! Can’t wait for next year!
New video uploaded! I entered the Lip Sync Battle Royale at Newcon PDX 5 this year, and lip synced 3Oh!3′s “Know How To Say” as Yuri Plisetsky from Yuri on Ice! This year’s battle was so much fun to participate in and watch, and I had the pleasure of winning 3rd place! Can’t wait to do this again :D - @thecosberry
