“Sport has the power to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela. • What a time in (sport) history - yesterday @wsl announced that every World Surf League controlled event will award equal prize money for female athletes, becoming the first and only US sports league and amongst the first organizations internationally to take action and do something about gender pay inequality in their industry. What an accomplishment and an amazing example of what a collective of individuals can do to eliminate past standards that hold us back, and instead fight together to push our society forward.
