Everyone Is Gay || Libby & Cate
It had been awhile since Libby had had anyone over the house, and while she was internally freaking out just a bit that she wouldn't have time to study for her Sociology exam - granted, it wasn't until Wednesday, but she liked to be prepared - she conceded that it was a Friday night and she had earned a bit of fun. Walking beside Cate across campus, they headed towards the Zeta Tau Alpha house, spotting the giant maroon letters emblazoned on the side of the building before anything else. Home sweet home. She made polite small talk as they strolled - hasn't the weather been nice, are your classes hard, and the like - before finally reaching their destination.
Walking up the stairs and in the front door, she noticed that the house was oddly quiet and clean, for once. Not that her sisters were slobs or anything, but it wasn't hard for a household of a dozen and a half women to get out of hand.Kicking her shoes off by the door and advising Cate to do the same, she hung up her purse and knapsack and paused, looking around. Turning her eyes to Cate, she smirked and asked, "So, what do you think? Is it everything you imagined? Because it's just sort of a house," and she giggled. Heading for the kitchen, she booted up the ancient Macbook that sat on the counter, the one they used almost exclusively for recipes and solving petty fights with Google searches.
Clicking through her email to find her mother's recipe for her favorite cheese biscuits, she turned her head to glance towards Cate, admiring the girl. She was very pretty, this much was true, and she was somewhat soft-spoken, at least on the surface - a welcome break from the personalities she was used to. Libby couldn't help but think this friendship had definite promise.
