“Oh come on!” Raphael couldn’t help but grin since he still didn’t feel remotely guilty about why Magnus was attempting to lecture him. “So I flashed my fangs and told an flirty fae to go back to worshiping trees- it wasn’t even that rude.” Plus only had the bad luck to have Magnus notice as walked in with his boyfriend just in time to witness the faerie about to curse him. “She reacted too harshly and I’d still be in one piece even if you weren’t here with your shadowhunter.”

Alec had just woken up officially for the first time since getting stabbed with his own arrows. The pain not registering, or the flashbacks just yet. Unaware of the bad choice his body made to roll onto his side while asleep. For a moment it seemed like any other morning. 

But- Magnus wasn’t there beside him, and that usually meant trouble. Letting his eyes open as rolled onto his back. Moving to sit up. When it all hit him the memories, pain and the guilt. He could have died but in the moment was more worried for the people who probably had worried. Groaning as collapsed onto his back again, hands resting on the bandages with a sigh.

“It’s healing fine, in a day or two I’ll be good as new.” A regimented application of iratzes was all a Shadowhunter needed sometimes. Though Alec still didn’t quite have the full use of his shoulder, he managed to tug the shirt down over his head, fighting off a grimace. “Never thought I’d take an arrow wound, y’know. Least of all one that wasn’t even SHOT.”

“Here you go.” Maia set the drink down in front of the warlock; felt was somewhat covering more than her section of things. Having slightly kicked at the other person currently on shift with her behind the bar. Though things were slow enough she supposed to some extent. 

Rubbing some highlighter from going over notes off her hand. Not meaning to observe the phone in his hands but she did. “Waiting for something?” Wiping down some nearby spill.

"Put. It. Down."

He hadn't expected to come out of his kitchen to find — himself? — wandering around the table he'd been using to work on something for a client. Luckily he'd come out when he did otherwise things might've gotten messier than they already were. He'd noticed the other had picked up a vial that needed to be handled with care and that was why he'd decided to remind this other him not to pick it up. Magnus wasn't too keen on trying to contain the possible explosion to that portion of the loft. It had taken a long time to create this space and he wasn't about to let someone, even if that someone was himself, to destroy all of his hard work. "There are plenty of things that are dangerous and I'd rather not have to explain just what happened. So tell me who you are and how you got here."

Alec had to stay in the infirmary of the Institute for two days. The main trouble with his injury was the fact, that he himself had made his arrows very powerful. They were meant to subdue greater demons and he made sure they could do that and well do what he had promised Jace to do: Kill him. It was a broadhead tip, designed to kill, to cause massive bleeding and he was the one subject to it. It was a struggle to get him to the Institute and onto the table. It was critical for hours. They only could be confident in Alecs survival around 24 hours after. Three days after they allowed Alec to leave the Infirmary. He knew he still had weeks of rest ahead of him.

And his family agreed that Alec should rest outside of the Institute, so, they brought him, carefully, to Magnus apartment. Alec stood on shaky legs as his mother rang the doorbell.
