Meet Javier Martinez, the phenomenal preparator at #catharineclarkgallery. Each week and for every show Javier maintains the pristine and professional look of the gallery and mounts each exhibition with the utmost of respect and care for the artwork and desires of curator and artist alike. The artists the gallery represents are incredibly blessed to work with this man who helps them and me realize the vision we have for an exhibition. Today Javier is transforming the gallery from the former exhibit of work by Nina Katchadourian into the environment for the next show—“Native Resolution” work by Stephanie Syjuco. Say goodbye to blue and hello to grey—neutral grey (think photo back drop). Max Beldner and his friends will aid Javier in the ambitious task of repainting the gallery.
