The paladin quickly dropped to a crouch as he heard the sobs, gently taking the boy's hand to check it. "Enrico... Whit did ye dae?" He asked quietly as he picked him up.

"No, Father. That is enough strawberries for you until after dinner." The youth pushed the bowl out of his reach, amusement playing upon his features.

The priest grumbled as the bowl was moved away, giving a playful leer and a grin as he reached out to tickle him. "Oh yeah? Says who~? Loch tae see ye stop me."

I flipped the cell phone closed after the cool dismissal I'd gained from calling him. Perhaps I'd been rude, angrily demanding where he was. The man was late to the meeting. Even under the cafe's shady awning, the day light made my skin crawl. Of all the days for Integra to be sick. With Walter playing nurse maid to her ailment, it had left me as the only agent available to meet Enrico on such short notice. 

"Goddamned Iscariot," I swore softly.

"I've only just begun and already I'm surrounded by so many familiar faces, and a few new ones."

"Hi, there... ex-bishop?" - she felt a bit confused and didn't quite understand the situation. She has always thought that the only way to quit Iscariot was to die or be killed. Yet she was glad that Maxwell didn't follow that pass.
