Update

So I'm a horrible person, and completely lost track of time yesterday, and had to work all day today..

There are still a few minor things that need to be tweaked on the board, because working it all from a phone is, quite frankly, time consuming as all get out.

Classification Preview - Arcanes

Arcane is an all-species-encompassing term used to refer to those born with the ability to wield magic. The stage of life during which this ability begins to manifest varies from one arcane to the next. Adding to that the fact that the gene has been known to skip entire generations makes it not altogether uncommon for an arcane to grow up with no real knowledge of what they are. In order to effectively channel their magic, an arcane must be in posession of a wand. This wand can be crafted from any of a variety of gemstones, though each gemstone is generally considered 'best' for a specific type of magic. This has lead to the creation of many 'specialty areas' when it comes to magic, and it is fairly common for an arcane to choose a specialty of their preference at some point after their abilities begin to manifest.

Species Preview - Svetocher

Commonly referred to as 'mortal vampires' due to certain similarities between them and the multitude of modern vampire mythos. Svetocher require both human food, and about two pints of blood per week to maintain their health. This can be in the form of human, animal, or a blood substitute. They are more sensitive to sunlight than the average human, but unlike in most vampire mythos they will not burn to ash when exposed to it. As already suggested they are not immortal. In fact their life-span is generally only slightly longer than that of the average human, with many Svetocher passing from old age after 110 years of life. They do naturally have slightly enhanced speed, strength, endurance, and reflexes, and conditioning may enhance them further. Their senses naturally surpass those of all other species.

Species Preview - Elves

It is believed that these beings are of divine origins, though there is no solid proof to support this belief. Still there are plenty of characteristics associated with elves that many may claim shows their divine heritage. Perhaps their most commonly referred to trait to support that theory is an ethereal beauty, even in the males of the species. Then there is, of course, the fact that more arcanes are born to this species than any other in existence. Further separating them from humans are their pointed ears, metallic colored eyes, enhanced speed, strength, endurance, reflexes, and senses, and elongated life-spans.

Species Preview - Demons

The word demon can summon forth a variety of images in the human imagination, and with good reason. Of all the species in the world, demons have the most diversity in terms of appearance. They may have wings, horns, or claws. They may appear more animal than human, or they may appear mostly human with something as simple as a birth mark or unnaturally colored eyes marking their demonic origins.

Some feed off of emotions such as lust or fear, others feed off of flesh or blood, but they all have a few things in common. Demons possess supernatural speed, strength, endurance, reflexes, and senses; though the level of each may vary from one demon to the next. Many also live extraordinarily long lives, which leads to a common belief that demons are immortal.
