Something I'm doing with Rylan the smuggler's storyline is making his involvement in Republic military and intelligence from an freelance privateer to an official agent more gradual. There are sidequests as early as Coruscant that have the smuggler involved in SIS operations but for Rylan I delayed that until Nar Shadda when he is officially recruited in some capacity. That way he's known for his exploits across Ord Mantell, Coruscant and Taris. Until then, he was acting in a behind the scenes manner, helping out the Republic but not exactly in the spotlight, something like that.

Oooh that’s so cool! I love that you’re incorporating the side quests and realistically estimating the amount of notoriety a smuggler would get doing them.

I feel like Alysle’s situation with the SIS is kind of like Ardun Kothe’s from the Agent storyline except they’re not evil. They’re just a museum/cultural artifact justice and repatriation expert and use republic intelligence and their own skills with diplomacy as a Jedi Consular to Indiana Jones stuff back to where it belongs. This is heavily inspired by my own museum studies field (going into a grad program for that) and also my original novel’s version of Alysle, who has the same job.

36. What's MC's fashion style?

This one is easier to show through the Modern AU! Elland wears mostly warm colours and black & white. Will wears classic stuff to work but bright and pastel outside after work/classes. In HL Elland would look less official when he's a student, often losing his jacket, rolling up his sleeves, loosening the tie. But the older he gets, the more serious the look since he needs to look appropriate, especially back in the muggle world as he's an heir to the family. William is always official at work and classes, full-on uniform, even the cloak (but not the hat). He has more relaxed attire when he's free but it's still always on point.

71. What would MC do if they lived in a pandemic?

Will closes himself off to the world. He won't be anywhere near people unless the pandemic is over! A stickler for the lockdown rules. He has poor health so it's important to him. But with how much he loves talking to people and the kind of social butterfly he is, he would spiral without communication. Video calls are not enough. He better be quarantining at least with his family in the country so he can talk to people and leave the manor for isolated walks. He'll be the first in line to get a vaccine. If he gets the disease, he won't do well. He's lucky his family is rich and get the best medicine available but it still won't be easy. He'll take a while to recover.

Elland will volunteer to deliver food and medicine to people, help take the trash out from those going through quarantine, and so on. If he gets sick, it would pass rather fast and he'll double down on trying to help people. Would vaccinate out of a sense of duty.

86. Where's your MC from?

Both Will and Elland were born and raised in UK, London (although Elland's ancestors used to live in the Middle East centuries ago).

Hi! I started playing SWTOR around two months ago and I've been really enjoying playing a Sith Warrior who aspires to be a revolutionary fighting for the common people living in the Empire against tyranny, abuse and slavery. The Revanite questline on Dromund Kaas was a hard one for me to do. While my toon agrees with a lot of Revan's teachings, he realized that he wasn't keen on the cult lifestyle nor how they did not pay attention to the mistakes Revan made and the lessons that could be learned from them too. Still he connected with three people he had to meet during the pilgrimage quests and I can see him thinking a lot about Morrun, Farr and Pathel and the principles they taught him. I can see the peaceful music that played when my toon met Farr being a theme of his as well.

Cool ideas! Farr is definitely one of my favorite "quest giver" NPCs. I wish we'd seen more of her.

The Revanite questline is a favorite of mine. One of the challenges they face is that there is clearly a broad spectrum of individuals with an "interest" in the cult, and looking at them as a single group with underlying beliefs can be a challenge, albeit in a positive way.

Coffee shop AU: Who is the barista, and who frequents the coffee shop?

adels the barista ! she lives alone in a pretty shit apartment and this job pays the bills, even tho sometimes she has to face demanding customers here and there.

meanwhile, rowans a high class student from a prestigious college — which struck adel as snobby like every other rich kid anywhere — who frequents the coffee shop everytime adels on shift. how unfortunate, the barista thinks, scoffing as she eyes the raven haired girl in their booth.

rowan orders one very specific drink everytime and none of the other baristas could really get the order down. adels the only one who has it memorized due to how often rowan ordered said coffee during her shift.

sometimes, adel gets concerned with how often rowan visits the shop. “this is your third large sized drink for the day. you good, rich kid??” “hm? oh, yeah, im good! *is visibly stressed and shaking* and stop calling me that, i have a name.” “alright, rich kid rowan.”

in conclusion theyd have a sort of banter-y first meeting bc adel didnt like classy rich college students who order quirky drinks and make her life twice as miserable /j but eventually adel develops a crush on rowan, who also reveals that they only come during adels shift bc they had a small crush on her.

until one day rowan shows up to the coffee shop with a boyfriend in hand.

Auror works out perfectly; he'll be headquartered at the Ministry, where Vi works in the International Trade department. Auror is also @nonie-star's dept, right? I'm guessing she would introduce them!
