Jo Buckthorn

This is my sim, Jo Buckthorn. She is applying to be in @sandy-sims story, The Lion, The Snake, and The Snitch.

Backstory:

Josephine (Jo) Buckthorn comes from a very long line of pureblood witches and wizards that actually originate from America. When she was very young, her family moved to Derry, Ireland so that her mother could take a job studying leprechauns. Despite being a pureblood, her parents emphasized the importance of learning from muggles. Because of this, by the time she was 11, Jo was very well versed in muggle culture and had a huge penchant for muggle jazz. Luckily, her extra knowledge did not put her at a disadvantage in the Slytherin common room, instead giving many of the students the closest link they had ever had to the muggle world. Jo’s first four years of Hogwarts were very uneventful, except for the fact that she showed a great aptitude for ancient runes and arithmancy. 

In the summer after her 4th year at Hogwarts, Jo and her three brothers came home to Derry to find both her parents dead, a vampire hovering over both, sucking their blood. She was lucky enough to escape the interaction with her younger brother Erik, and a scar on her left eye. After that, Jo became intent on learning everything she could about vampires and eradicating every last one in existence.

Boggart is her last remaining brother’s body

A distant ancestor is Merlin

Is the only person at Hogwarts with a dog (medium sized mutt named Henry, nothing useful or magical about him)

Was named after Josephine March from her mother’s favorite muggle book, Little Women

Favorite part of being a Slytherin is being able to see the lake from the common room

My latest folly!   Being a glutton for punishment and obviously with too much time on my hands (NOPE) I entered a forum model contest.  My plate has a bit of room on the edges I can pile a tiny bit more on before it cracks off in my hand and ruins my pants :) 

Meet Clarette (and yes for this round she has high fashion colorful eyebrows ... AND I am going to try to stick with MM hair).  I know she has some serious RBF going on but I adore her already.

@grimcookies spun gold with this hair bitchhh omggg. So as maxis match as my blog is sometimes I need more recolors. So i took @pastry-box‘s palette and recolored it! That’s all really nothing special besides that! You will need the mesh which is linked below. Enjoy!

If youre looking for new Simblr blogs (esp Maxis Match) here are some of my favorites:

Storylegacysims has great content (esp for toddlers)

Nords-sims has some great cc

Bloomet has no cc (to my knowledge) but has some beautiful gameplay shots and her sims are just darling

Ridgeport has some really unique and awesome pre-made sims and really nice custom content

Grimcookies content is simple and understated and I think a must for gameplay

Catplnt also has a very simple but beautiful aesthetic to their content which I love

Nolan-sims doesn't have a lot of CC but the stuff they do have is such amazing quality

Trillyke has some great stuff, I have almost all of their shirts in my game

CupidJuice has some super high quality basics every sims needs
