Stainforth - Catrigg Force - Winskill - Stainforth Foss
En route to hospital we stopped off for a walk. We parked in the main Stainforth car-park and after crossing the stepping stones we headed up to Catrigg Force. The route followed the Pennine Bridleway, a lovely “green” lane. Butties at the top of the falls before heading to explore the woods and river below. We then did a loop via Winskill down to cross the Ribble at Langcliffe. By this time it was raining but we still had a final cuppa and pics at Stainforth Foss.
