A final wander down to the prom and brunch before vacating Belmont.

Lyme Regis - Charmouth

Lance and Sally arrived after brunch and we then walked inland from Belmont to Charmouth and back along the fossil beach. A good walk despite the back-tracking trying to find if the coastal path had been re-instated.

Branscombe

Headed over to Branscombe early for a cliff top walk and loop back through the village to the beach for ice-cream in the rain. Then later on we did the Lyme Regis treasure trail. Chippy Tea on the balcony!

Not a great start when I fell over in Beer. Nor was the sign wasn’t wrong, it was a bit of a slog. Mostly dry until we stopped for lunch!

Bamburgh - Seahouses

fed the swans and left Doxford. Had a walk along the beach from Bamburgh to Seahouses before heading home.

Whalton Manor and Herterton House

A two garden day! Some plants were bought. Butties in the garden at the Manor and T&C’s in the game larder. The owner of Herterton, Frank Lawley, was an interesting chap.

Embleton and Beadnell Bay

Parked at Newton Links and walked the coast in both directions.

Ladyburn Lake and Druridge Bay

Walked round Ladyburn Lake (not risking the stepping stones) before heading to the beach for more paddling, kite flying and boules.

Had a walk round the lake back at Doxford.
