the Siamese cats weren't bad, they killed a pretty awful pirate and they let Griddlebone go. One did bit off Growltiger's ear but he , being Growltiger probably did something to deserve it.

I wish that song didn't have a slur in it .

Here is an appreciation post for Tantomile from Japanese productions, who more or less plays the role of Cassandra. She is part of the Gumbie Trio (alongside Jemima and Jellylorum), and is paired with Gilbert (Alonzo is split into two characters, one as Gilbert and a second actor as Rumpus Cat playing a more 'traditional' Alonzo). Cassandra portrays the typical Tanto role alongside Tumblebrutus portraying Coricopat, with Cori being a named (and quite yellow!) ensemble character.

Even though her design does not differ significantly from the traditional Cassandra design, I am quite enamored with it.

The dark wine red coat contrasted with the cream coloured center is such a tasteful adaptation. I also really like how the costume appears velvety in texture, rather than the more common 'glossy' sheen. I am not sure if this is necessarily correct, but whatever.

The makeup is also a bit simpler, and continues the high contrast theme with dark cheeks and accents above the eyes. It gives her a bright face. The way they accentuate the eyes is also done tastefully given the that a Japanese actress has to play the character, not being too embellished or swooped.

Top Gilbert / Bottom Rum Tum Tugger(fem)

Gilbert, a Shiki cat, is a young male cat who is always teased by Tugger on stage, but is basically good friends with him.

I started to think of their relationship like that of Tanya and Pepper in Mamma Mia!, and before I knew it, I was drawing it.

Tugger “Does your mother know?”

Gilbert “There's no way she would know!?”

This is a report from when I went to see the performance of CATS by Shiki Theater Company in Nagoya on October 9, 2023.

It's about the Rum Tum Tugger number. Jellylorum, played by Ayaka Yoshida, Jemima, played by Naho Sakai, and Tantomile, played by Rika Takeshita, were so cute that fell in love with Rum Tum Tugger played by Kaminaga Tougo.

Then, Rumpus Cat played by Kazuyuki Mandokoro, Gilbert played by Asahi Goto, and Tumblebrutus played by Yuuma Ishida loudly sang the part "IS A TERRIBLE BORE!!!!!!!!" That was interesting.

During Growltiger's Last Stand, there was a scene where Growltiger sings loudly. At that time, Captain Gilbert of Siamese and his subordinate Bombalurina played by ｋHaruka Yamazaki were covering their ears and making noise.

I was sitting in an aisle seat that day. Rumpelteazer, played by Anzu Shimizu, was crawling on all fours next to her and looked me in the eye. It was so cute and I was so excited.
