8 years ago I found the second image on a French website dedicated to vintage chainring design. It shows a rough illustration of a chainring produced by French manufacturer Solida around 1910. Inspired by the image I created a modern version of the Solida Cats to fit the most beautiful crankset in the world, the Stronglight 49d. I’ve still never even seen a photo of the original chainring. The black and white gif image is the only reference before I created the new one. Would love to see the original!
