One of my rare Bespoke Chainrings Solida Cats rings shown here on @slyred330 beautiful Peugeot. 🙌👌 Back in 2012 on a french chainring enthusiast site I found a tiny black and white gif of the original 1910 Solida Cats. It was a tiny pixelated illustration but a very compelling design. So I decided to recreate it, and make it fit more modern 50.4bcd cranks. Referencing all sorts of images of cats I designed it the way I thought it would have looked (although smaller as a 44t not 50t). In all this time I’ve still not seen any other representations of the original ring. No photos, nothing at all. I still hope to! In my collection I have one original Solida ring, the oak and acorn (another from around 1910), found years after I recreated this one.
