Seems like we’re about to experience an abundance of cattley guava! Rich in vitamin C and potassium, these delicious treats are definitely something to look forward to. This fruit is native to eastern Brazil and Uraguay where it grows in tropical and warm subtropical climates and can be found throughout tropical and Subtropical America but uncommon in places like Africa and Asia. I’ve only tasted one so far and it was so interesting. I kind of need to taste more to really get to know this fruit but I’ve read that they can also be used to make dessert fillings, jellies and jams. Even the seeds, like other guavas, can be roasted and used as a coffee substitute. ・・・ #growninhaiti #psidiumcattleyanumlittorale #cattleyguava #strawberryguava #haiti #ayiti #reforestation #agroforestry #diversity #abundance #growth #flowering #nogmos #nopesticides #noherbicides #fruits #tropicalfruits https://www.instagram.com/p/CO0fJEUluR2/?igshid=11qgwx11ohr23
