Felix wanted to fall on him like a starved dog, but if he did that he wouldn't be able to remember this when Oliver was gone. He needed to know how it felt in every way; the hand on the back of his neck, the quiet buzz of the bulb overhead. The way his clothes, chosen for comfort, felt constricting, touching too much of him and clouding a sense that should have been reserved for the places where he and Oliver met. Their interlocked fingers, their tangled legs. This was his signature upon the devil's compact, and you should not enter such a thing lightly.
He leaned forward, trying to memorize Oliver's chapped lips, the way they couldn't quite get lined up quite right at first, Oliver too low down and Felix a little too tall to bend at the right angle. Oliver's breath was hot, sour with coffee, and Felix thought he'd never tasted anything better.
