My personal Grian headcanon aligns with his actual Minecraft skin. Like. He straight up has no mouth when I draw him. He has void eyes that stare straight at you but when you try to do it back you get lost in the nothingness and overwhelmed by the VOID that his eyes contain.
He totally used to have a mouth tho. During evo times. Watchers yoinked that tho they were like how can we make this guy like us. Take his mouth. Yummy.
He, of course, has wings. Similar to how others tend to draw him in my mind his wings change depending on the season of hermitcraft/life series. In the life series his wings, at first, were bound but later became dead weight for him (when this happens I have yet to determine). They just kind of. Lay there. Hanging. Dragging against the soft grass and accumulating specks of sand. I love the idea that they can 100% be used against him but everyone makes the unanimous choice to never EVER use an avians wings against them.
So, side note because this is a grian post, no harm comes to Jimmy’s tiny scootaloo canary wings. Because that’s also just a headcanon that his wings are smaller in the life series games than outside of them (because he already feels some sort of way about them outside the games so why not just make him feel worse?) (headcanon subject to change btw)
Anyways back to grian. I like the idea that as past life goes on he regains features from evo. So take his link skin and his current skin and just… pick and choose items. right now grian has the link hat and his hair is growing out and his roots are starting to grow out blonde. there is NOTHING he can do about this btw they wake up ready for the next update and his changes are part of the update. If he makes it to the finale (and ofc I hope he does I’m really attached to him) the watchers will toy with him by giving him his old (true) wings back. and he can’t use them.
Also evil watchers my beloveds it makes things so much more interesting. for everyone involved.
anyways that’s the end of my yap sesssion I really like grian and honestly I don’t like it too much when people draw him with a mouth because he’s so much scarier without one. But like. Free will and I love fan art of grian and consume it like crazy and if you like to draw him with a mouth DO IT.
