« Vance watches (and probably smells) Trump rotting from the inside out, knowing the Three Ds - Donnie, Demenetia, and Depends - have him on an inside track for the Presidency, even before 2028. He sees the coming death not only of Trump, but of the MAGA movement’s focus on Trump alone. This is them moment to show them he can be the same kind of churlish, transgressive bully, with more intellectual polish.
Vance (if that’s his real name) understands that the seeds he sows today are the predicates for his 2028 presidential run. Every single thing Vance does, right down to his morning constitutional, should be viewed as part of that plan. He’ll have to take out the Trump children, and other MAGA aspirants for the Fecal Throne, and he’s trying to be the visible face of this White House to a point it’s as obvious as it is embarrassing.
Peter Thiel, Vance’s mentor and the current heartthrob leading San Francisco’s new hit show AntiChrist Superstar may have put Vance where he is, but Vance knows he’ll need to keep the lower-orders in the MAGA influencer class on his side in the coming years as Trump’s decline spirals down to its inevitable, rancid end. »
— Political analyst Rick Wilson of the Lincoln Project at his Substack commenting on J.D. Vance's appearance on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
Don't hold back, Rick! 🙂
J.D. Vance is a blatant opportunist and a phony. It's hard to tell even what his real name is. Years ago he called Trump "America's Hitler" but now tries to scream Sieg Heil louder than anybody else.
J.D. competes with Trump to see who can lie the most. It's very hard work trying to keep up with Trump in that category but J.D. puts a lot of effort into it.
Lawrence O'Donnell looks at Vance's knee-jerk MAGA mendacity, giving special attention to the Tom Homan $50k CAVA bag scandal.
There's more than one type of lie. J.D. demonstrated one by not answering the question asked and then giving an answer to an irrelevant question he inserted in place of the one asked by George Stephanopoulos. J.D. then realized how much trouble he was getting himself into and decided to punt with an "I don't know" after implying that MAGA Border Czar Tom Homan did keep the $50k bribe. Soon after that, Stephanopoulos decided to turn off the Vance firehose of bullshit by abruptly (and politely) ending the segment early.
