^^^ We already know that Trump is a hypocrite. But it's fun to catch him when his hypocrisy becomes so blatant.
'My Pillow' Guy, Trump's Pick For Minnesota Governor, Isn't Registered To Vote There
Mike Lindell -- President Donald Trump's pick in the Minnesota governor's race known more commonly as "the My Pillow Guy" -- is not registered to vote in the state, The Minnesota Star Tribune found after reviewing voter registration records. Instead, Lindell is registered to vote in Texas, the newspaper reported, where he was living previously. Lindell -- a prominent Trump donor and advisor -- had told the Star Tribune last year he would re-establish residency in Minnesota if he ran for governor.
Huh? Does that mean I could run for governor of Arkansas even though I've never been there?
Lindell IS registered in Texas. So why didn't he just run there?
Did he vote in the Texas primary? Wouldn't that be de facto vote fraud if he claims to be a Minnesotan?
Of course I do hope he wins the Minnesota GOP primary. Democrat Amy Klobuchar would wipe the floor with him in the general election.
The Trump ICE agent who shot and killed an unarmed man in Maine has a long history of violent behavior and domestic abuse. David Brouillette once threw boiling water at his first ex-wife while she was holding a baby. His second wife divorced him and filed for legal protection from him.
The standards for ICE are very low. They recruit disturbed psychos who have no business with a badge and a gun. They act more like Nazi Browshirts than like professional law endorsement.
Did we mention that David Brouillette has been a racist since at least high school? NPR reports...
Scott Collins told NPR that he was best friends with David Brouillette in high school in Maine. Collins testified on behalf of Ashley Brouillette in the divorce proceedings. [ ... ] Collins also said that David Brouillette used anti-Black racial slurs in high school. Ashley Brouillette says she worries racism may have played a part in Durán Guerrero's death. "He has displayed racism. His nickname in high school was 'White Boy David,' if that tells you anything," she said.
Congressional Republicans have been enthusiastically tossing tens of billions of dollars down the ICE rat hole so that Donald Trump and Stephen Miller can hire the worst of the worst of what this country has to offer.
As disgusting as David Brouillette may be, true blame should be placed on those who have funded him. Only 108 Days remain until the Midterm Elections. Throw MAGA Republicans out on their ass.
Not long ago some Trump administration flunky said that Trump's disjointed randomness was actually "five-dimensional chess". The truth is that Trump has difficulty with two-dimensional tic-tac-toe.
Trump lost the Iran war months ago and won't admit he's a loser.
Trump Keeps Bombing, Nothing Keeps Changing.
Mark Lamb, a Trump-endorsed former sheriff running in Arizona’s 5th District, is trying to fend off a challenger pointing to Lamb’s alleged
Trump is backing a candidate for US House in Arizona who is plagued by sex scandals. Sort of a "birds of a feather" thing. The Trump candidate in the AZ-05 GOP primary is Mark Lamb. He's being challenged by a rich guy named Daniel Keenan who is targeting Lamb's scandals in ads. Keenan has no shortage of material for his ads.
A multi-part Arizona Republic investigation found that Lamb allegedly engaged in a yearslong pattern of sending sexual images and instigating intimate encounters between him, his wife and others. One woman involved, Jillian Stannard, alleged Lamb encouraged her husband to have sex with other women, including Lamb’s wife. She also alleged that Lamb threatened her, saying there would be consequences, when Stannard raised concerns to leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which both Lamb and Stannard were members. Screenshots the Republic obtained of messages with another woman, Tammy Peacock, suggest Lamb — then a sitting county sheriff — threatened to leverage Arizona’s revenge porn law against her. In a statement, Lamb spokesperson Ed Morabito said “these allegations are false and come from long-discredited political opponents.” Reached for comment on Wednesday, Stannard said her allegations reported by the Republic are “accurate and true.” Peacock passed away in 2021. “A guy that goes around and says, ‘God, family freedom,’ is sending pictures of himself and nude pictures of his wife, encouraging his friends and his employees to have sexual relations with his wife,’” Keenan said in an interview this week of the allegations, repeating similar attacks he’s made in campaign advertising. “That’s not ‘God, family freedom.’ That shows you’re morally broke.”
Keep in mind that this is a deep red district. There is little chance a Democrat could win here regardless of the GOP primary winner. Though a loss by Lamb would reflect badly on Trump who endorsed him twice.
There is some evidence that the pitch to voters is landing. An internal poll from Keenan’s campaign obtained by POLITICO shows Keenan leading Lamb 42 percent to 40 percent, narrowly within the poll’s margin of error. The campaign’s earlier polling from late June had shown Lamb leading 43 percent to 35 percent.
The Arizona primary takes place on Tuesday July 21st.
The Trump Administration CDC has scaled back monitoring of food-borne illnesses. Obviously White House ballrooms and color-changing reflecting pools are considered a higher priority by Trump. Oh yeah, there's also the pointless Iran war which may be costing $80 to $100 billion. Who needs disease prevention when you can bomb civilian infrastructure?
As a result of CDC cutbacks, there's now an outbreak of cyclospora – the most notable symptom of which is explosive diarrhea which can last for weeks. The disease has now spread to at least 34 states.
Trump gave us a new forever war in February and now he's giving America forever diarrhea.
In case you didn't hear, Trump lost in 2020. He has a hard time accepting that he's a loser – not unusual for a narcissistic nepo baby surrounded entirely by world-class lickspittles.
His Thursday speech was a boring cocktail of conspiracy theories, distortions, and unverified reports all mixed together with classic Trump butthurt grievance.
Trump spews unhinged election conspiracy theories in speech TV networks refused to air
Despite wars, inflation, climate threats, and cyber attacks, Donald Trump has decided to concentrate this summer on reflecting pools, cage fights, and fantasies about him "winning" the 2020 presidential election.
Trump's attack on the American electoral system is yet another reason to reject Todd Blanche as attorney general.
Trump is looking for an excuse ahead of time for when Republicans lose control of both chambers of Congress.
Trump’s effort to revamp the landmark stretched well past the goal of having it ready by the Fourth of July
The Trump Reflecting Pool, the comedic fail of the year, continues to be a source of curiosity.
Its color has evolved a lot this year: Normal -> American flag blue –> Nuclear algae green –> Confederate gray.
An Associated Press reporter and photographer viewed the fenced-off reflecting pool on Wednesday from the top of the Washington Monument. The new liner appears grayer than when the pool was repainted and refilled with water in early June. Debris that had been visible earlier this week after the pool was drained is now largely gone, after work crews removed it. Trump’s problem-plagued effort to revamp the landmark has stretched well past his initial goal of having the reflecting pool ready by 4 July for the nation’s 250th birthday. The president at first suggested his renovations would cost $1.5m, but the bill ballooned to more than $16m by June.
And the project is not exactly done.
Trump had said the repairs would last a century, but within days of the project’s initial completion last month, the water was beset by an algae bloom and pieces of the new coating appeared to be peeling off the bottom. Ohio-based Green Water Solutions, also known as Greenwater Services, was given a $1.7m contract to install a water-purification system in the reflecting pool, while Virginia-based Atlantic Industrial Coatings was awarded $14.7m to repaint and waterproof the pool’s concrete floor. Trump has repeatedly blamed vandals for the peeling paint, though critics allege it’s from shoddy repair work.
Trump always looks for scapegoats to hide his own incompetence. To him, it's not no-bid contracts with MAGA crony companies but rather "woke antifa terrorists" who are responsible for the pool disaster.
In the 2016 campaign Trump proclaimed : "I alone can fix it". A more truthful statement would have been: "I alone can fuck things up so badly".
Service members 30 and over will test annually and can choose to receive testosterone replacement therapy if they are recommended for treatm
Pete Hegseth is a complete moron. That has made him a perfect fit for Trump's cabinet of incompetents.
Whiskey Pete now wants to give troops testosterone tests.
The Pentagon will begin annually testing service members 30 and over for testosterone deficiencies, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Tuesday. Hegseth said in a video posted to social media that the new screening would become part of the Defense Department’s periodic health assessment for military personnel. The health exam has been mandatory since 2016 and is used to measure medical condition, behavioral health, mental health and readiness to deploy. Service members who are recommended for treatment will have the choice to receive testosterone replacement therapy, Hegseth said. Personnel under 30 can volunteer for an examination.
As commander-in-chief, wouldn't Dementia Donald be a candidate for such a test? 🤔
Corruption is the heart of what Trump is. He is like a bumbling Mafia Don whose underlings know is a fool – but they don't wish to imperil whatever loot they get from their association with him.
As long as Congressional Republicans continue to benefit from Trump, they will ignore their constitutional duties of oversight and balance.
If somebody knows a crime is being committed but refuses to stop it or even report it, then they share the blame. Congressional Republicans enable Trump corruption. They won't do anything about him, but you can remove them with your ballot in 110 days.
^^^ No kidding, Sock Puppet!
This may not be exactly a classic Freudian slip, though it comes close.
Blanche’s slip-up on his Trump relationship: 'I'm his lawyer'
Todd Blanche likely fueled the most potent criticism against him Wednesday with a gaffe that may haunt him beyond his ongoing confirmation hearing to become the next attorney general. Asked by Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) if Blanche and President Donald Trump are friends, Blanche replied, “I’m his lawyer” — before quickly correcting himself to say, “was his lawyer, and now I’m the deputy attorney general.” The most enduring criticism of Blanche throughout his tenure as deputy attorney general and, more recently, as acting attorney general, has been that he has continued to act as Trump’s personal lawyer — a job he had earlier in his career — in taking steps to shield him from any potential legal harm and carry out his desired investigations and prosecutions.
Blanche will ALWAYS be Trump's lawyer. Given Trump's disdain for the rule of law, that can never be good.
Even if Blanche were not covering up the Trump-Epstein scandal, he'd be a terrible choice.
^^^ Well, I really could imagine a spontaneous national Mardi Gras breaking out – if that's what Trump means by crowd size.
The choice of Trump's burial site will be interesting. His first wife Ivana is buried on his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course. If he doesn't join her there, an appropriate place would be Epstein Island.
A new poll finds that a once-safe Republican House District is now competitive.
NV-02 is the most conservative US House district in Nevada. The House seat there has never been held by a Democrat since the district was created after the 1980 census. It easily was taken by Trump in 2024.
However a new poll shows the MAGA Republican trailing his Democratic challenger in the 2026 midterms. NV-02 is competitive.
The latest sign of impending doom for the GOP comes in the form of a new poll in Nevada’s 2nd District. Released Tuesday, the survey from Wedgewood Polls finds Democratic nominee Teresa Benitez-Thompson leading Republican David Flippo, 48% to 46%, in the rural district that encompasses the northern half of the Silver State. [ ... ] Why is that so bad for Republicans? Because President Donald Trump won Nevada’s 2nd District by a whopping 14 percentage points in 2024, according to data from The Downballot. The district is not even on the list of competitive seats in the major political handicapping outlets. The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rate the race as “safe” for Republicans. If Democrats are ahead in a seat like this, then Republicans are in for a brutal election night. Of course, we mused earlier this year that this seat could be one to watch this fall. The seat is open after Republican Rep. Mark Amodei announced in February that he was not running for reelection. As I wrote at the time, “[I]n wave-election years, a seat like this can lead to surprising outcomes—especially when it’s an open seat, with no incumbent advantage.”
Rep. Amodei saw the writing on the wall and wisely decided to bail.
“With all due respect Mr. President, Nevada already has five representatives who live in Clark County. Your endorsement[,] if followed, would make it six out of six,” Amodei said, insinuating that Flippo’s carpetbagging from Las Vegas would not be received well in the rural part of the state. So what did Nevada Republicans do after Amodei issued his warning? They chose Flippo, of course. And that left Amodei saying aloud that he thinks the seat could flip this fall.
So the Trump-snorting GOP primary voters of NV-02 followed the dictates of The Orange One and nominated a carpetbagger who actually lives at the opposite end of the state.
Every wave is made up of individual drops of water. NV-02 is another potential contributor to a Blue Wave. 🌊
Of course election victories don't happen on their own. Every Democrat who lives in a swing district or swing state should seriously consider getting involved with a local candidate's campaign for state or federal office.
As of today (Wednesday), there are just 111 Days until Midterm Election Day. Let's put them to good use.
Trump's demented rantings and bizarre policy swings are hurting Republicans – and he doesn't seem to care. But it's their own fault because they failed to curb him in the past. Now they are helpless as he drags them under water.
Republicans are forced to defend unpopular stuff like...
Trump's undeclared and bungled forever war with Iran.
Higher prices due to the war and Trump's trade policies.
Trump's ICE agents shooting people dead in their vehicles.
An epidemic of explosive diarrhea due to RFK Jr.'s reduced food safety inspections.
Trump kissing up to foreign dictators while insulting longtime allies.
The weakening of US national security through rapidly depleting stockpiles of weapons and the firing of qualified military staff.
Massive corruption involving Trump's self-enrichment, conflict of interest, and nepotism.
Trump's use of taxpayer money to promote silly grandiose projects to glorify himself – almost always with no-bid contracts.
The Trump gutting of healthcare for the poor and middle class while giving huge tax breaks to billionaires and trillionaires who then show their gratitude with large campaign contributions.
Trump's permitting fossil fuel and other mining companies to devastate environmentally protected areas.
The Trump appointment of hopelessly incompetent cronies and lickspittles to positions of power in the administration.
The cover-up of the Trump-Epstein scandal and treatment with kid gloves of sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell.
Trump's ongoing attempts to undermine renewable energy to please Big Oil companies who give him Big Contributions.
And I could go on and on with this. But you get the general idea.
While Trump obsesses over his bogus claims that he won the 2020 election, Republicans panic over the disaster which awaits them in the 2026 midterms because of their public alignment with Trump.
^^^ What do you mean "Parallel" Earth?
Trump has been flinging poop for as long as anybody can remember.
The New York governor is wading into a thorny political issue amid environmental and energy use concerns.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul will enact the first statewide pause in the US on data centers. I ❤️ NY!
Gov. Kathy Hochul is enacting the nation’s first state-level moratorium on large-scale data center construction amid concerns over the impact of the facilities meant to support artificial intelligence. The move, being implemented through an executive order Hochul will sign Tuesday, pauses construction permits for up to one year so that state officials can create a regulatory plan addressing energy and environmental issues. [ ... ] The moratorium, which would likely run past Hochul’s November election, has been contemplated since at least last month, when POLITICO first reported the governor was weighing a data center construction pause through executive order. Permits that have already been issued for projects will not be impacted. There will be some exceptions for facilities that generally use less power and are built for research, education and health care purposes, Hochul’s office said. The governor also wants to work with state lawmakers to eliminate sales tax subsidies for data centers when they return to Albany in January — something that requires legislative action.
Gov. Hochul has been more progressive than many people expected when she first became governor upon the resignation of Andrew Cuomo.
The victim is one of at least nine people who have been killed by immigration agents since last year.
In Maine, trigger-happy ICE agents shot and killed yet another Hispanic on Monday.
On Monday morning, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were involved in yet another fatal shooting, this time in Biddeford, Maine. The Maine Immigrants’ Rights Coalition and Presente! Maine said the victim was a 26-year-old Colombian man who was authorized to work in the United States, according to the Portland Press Herald. “He was a member of our community, a neighbor, and a human being whose life was cut tragically short. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and everyone now grieving this unimaginable loss,” the two immigration organizations said in a statement. Daniel Boucher, who witnessed the aftermath of the shooting, told the Portland Press Herald that he was getting ready for work and after hearing what sounded like fireworks, he witnessed agents remove the driver of a sedan. “He was bleeding profusely from the head,” Boucher told the Press Herald. “He was talking. He said, ‘I tried to stop.’” A representative of the Biddeford Police Department said calls about the shooting should be directed to ICE; the Department of Homeland Security and ICE did not respond to a request for comment. FBI agents were photographed at the scene of the shooting as part of an apparent federal investigation. [ ... ] It is unclear whether video of Monday’s shooting will emerge. The ICE agents involved were not wearing body cameras, according to (Sen. Angus) King. Monday’s victim is one of more than 20 people whom federal immigration agents have shot at since last year, according to the New York Times. Most of those shootings have involved people who were inside their cars. At least nine people have now been killed during encounters with immigration agents during President Donald Trump’s second term.
WMTW-TV in Maine identified the victim of the ICE shooters...
A family friend told Maine's Total Coverage Joan Sebastian Guerrero was killed in the shooting Monday morning. She says Guerrero leaves behind a wife, 3-year-old child, and sister.
This occurred just a week after a similar incident in Texas.
