clive was raised solely by their grandmother, a shoemaker, who has since passed but was a woman who could be very unforgivingly blunt and held her faith very dear to her. they had a very complicated and contradictory relationship, as she was a very conflicting person by what seemed like nature. one day she’d encourage clive and their craft, insisting on presents in the shapes of harps and flutes, and the next she’d be saying their name in vain and wishing them dead due to clive’s oddities. clive’s parents are a mystery to them, only ever praised or never mentioned by their grandmother, so if you asked clive they’d give you a made-up answer.
they grew up in a small, cluttered home, and would often wander off elsewhere to play music and lie in the grass of the small property for hours. with not much known distant family and only a few peers to perform for, clive was quite isolated within themselves, and this is something that has trickled into adulthood.
clive is a very theatric performer! down to ridiculous hairstyles and makeup, they’re very much inspired by thought-provoking plays, liturgical dramas, the unexplored grotesque and a comical take on traditional beauty of the times. clive has traveled near and far performing his acts which include instrument playing & singing with bits and bobs of dialogue
despite often being in front of crowds of people who are either likely to adore or boo them away, clive is a lonely individual. they are often isolated in order to indulge in themselves, their hobbies, writing scripts and music.

A daydreamer through and through, Landan is often found with his head in the clouds. While he does spend his days in the stables tending to the horses, his mind is typically anywhere but the horses; some days, he’s just lucky to keep his job.
His real dream is to become a playwright; the best of his time. Despite the fact that he barely knows how to write his own name, he has ideas that stay in his head that he wishes he could express past what could be considered by most as glorified doodles.
He’s a family man & animal lover who’s very bighearted; when he isn’t lost in the clouds he really does care about the horses under his care and enjoys riding them through open fields. he’ll also do anything for his family - that’s the main reason he keeps his stablehand job; to provide a little bit of income to help them survive.

ONE -- A work friend turned someone who he is enamored with - this is someone that Landan met through work when he first started at the stables a few years back. They don't necessarily have to work at the stables, but they're someone who Landan has run-ins with semi-frequently, if not on a daily/frequent basis. They're someone that Landan confides in; they're someone that encourages Landan to pursue his dreams of becoming a playwright, even when Landan doubts himself.
TWO -- A boss. They probably aren't the biggest fan of Landan, considering his tendencies to drift off into daydreams during work. He's got his head in the clouds, and they'd much prefer it to be firmly on his shoulders so as to keep from bad reputations forming around them. They may have a soft spot for Landan and his sensitivities, which is why they keep him around, or they may just be keeping him around because they owe a family member of Landan's a favor.
THREE -- A sibling, whether in the found family sense or in the biological sense, they're the reason that Landan is still working in the stables. He wants to be able to provide them with a sense of stability when it comes to an income; he's protective of them whether they're older or younger than he is.

( i’ll work on this more later )

• elion warrick fleming was born to augustus and marianne fleming nine years after their firstborn, nicholas fleming.
• his parents weren’t warm or particularly good at showing their affections. they loved him, just as they loved their other children, but their way of showing it was...unique.
• he never wanted for anything ( other than actual affection ) and he received the best education that their royal money could buy. they even allowed him a somewhat unorthodox combat instructor. in truth, he was perhaps the only instructor that managed to hold Eli’s attention enough to get him focused. he began lessons at age seven and by the time he was sixteen, he was considered one of the best swordsmen in aura. it’s something he loves and he considers it just as much of an art as painting or music. it’s a dance and though his style can be quite showy and dramatic, he takes it seriously. mostly.
• as a child, it was hard to get him to focus. he had the energy of a hummingbird and the attention span of a puppy. his parents, tutors, and nursemaids were at a loss. no matter how much they attempted to subdue him, whether it was with punishments or incentives, nothing ever seemed to stick aside from his swordsmanship training and art. like his brother, he discovered his love of art early on. if not for nicholas, it may have been stomped out of him as well, but his brother had a knack for looking out for him. his siblings, much to his parents chagrin shielded him from a lot. with their help and his ability to withdraw into his imagination, he was able to keep his passion, curiosity and optimism toward the world intact.
• this sometimes brought good fortune, like when he was eight and managed to save the life of a hunter who’d gotten into a bind in the forest or the friends he made with the commoners of aura. others times it brought woe, once in the form of being gullible enough trust the word of a smuggler or to have his heart broken by his muse.
• he was young, barely 15, when he fell over heels. he didn’t care who knew. didn’t care what his parents thought. she was the one, they were in love, and his work-- it flourished because of it. that is-- until he caught her in a tryst with a stablehand. he’s unsure of the details, honestly. all he knew was that she’d not only betrayed his trust...but he looked like a fool. he’d given her everything his young heart could and she felt nothing in return. eventually they were able to move past it, he even considers her a friend now, but he hasn’t loved like that since. he prefers playful frolics and flings, nothing more. even in the few courtships he’s had since, he’s held himself back.
• needless to say when his brother, now king, proposed marriage to gain an alliance with the kingdom of Eden, Elion was not thrilled. the idea, while sound, could have easily been forged with another of their siblings or even a duke. not that he had anything against princess Willow. he didn’t know her. they’d seen each other in passing only. there was no way he was the best suited. he was ill equipped and out of touch with kingdom politics. he would’ve preferred to be granted the permission to travel and continue his focus on his art. not settle down with a wife.
• but here he is. married and doing his best to be a ‘responsible’ member of Aura’s court when all he wants to do is get away from it all. he’d had a plan to do it too. unbeknownst to his brother, over the last year or two, he’d been frequenting more... sordid areas of the aisle and made friends with a few disreputable folks. he’d been working to secure passage on a ship, one where he could shed his princely title and just-- be Elion. He still considers it, often times dreaming of the life he might have, but he’s hesitant to leave his family with the threat of war looming overhead. So here he’ll stay, for now...

ONE — A close servant who's served Sophronia for quite some time now. They're familiar with every aspect of the princess's life, being one of her close confidantes, knowing who's in her favour today and who isn't tomorrow, how she truly feels about how she became the king's ward through her father's death, and how thankful she is that she hasn't been forced into a marriage — yet. But they also see her uglier sides — the occasional tendency for petulance and entitlement. They're not exactly sure how they feel about her behind the glittering jewellery and excitable demeanour she exudes at royal parties, but then again, who can really be sure what the real Sophronia is like?
TWO — Every good story has a princess and her white knight. They're not exactly royal, but they've been in love with her for so long now that they're more or less blind to her faults. They'll eat up every scrap of attention she gives them — which is, a lot, but she has this wonderful talent of making you feel like you're the only person in the world. Funnily enough, that's also how she enjoys being treated. But you know — could you ever accuse Sophronia of something as horrible as leading them on? Or does the princess really have feelings for them in return — assuming anything she could ever feel for anyone is real?
THREE — Court gossip travels fast and Sophronia's disdain for them is no different. For a lady who's usually seen as the shining example of courtesy, she somehow can't hold back in their presence, exchanging words with double meanings to express how she really feels. Rumour has it that they used to be friends, but for whatever reason they're now engaged in a never-ending feud, culminating in the form of Sophronia's lavish parties.

About him —
Cassian is usually reckless and mostly acts before thinking. As a kid he got in trouble quite a lot. Couldn’t say that has changed much now that he’s older. The only difference is now he knows how not to get caught. It’s nothing illegal, usually just quick ideas that might not end that well. And in most of those adventures he has his best friend by his side. From young age they were joined at the hip. Where one goes, the other follows. And both of them usually are up to no good. If one suddenly gets a “bright” idea, the chances are high that the other will agree to that.
His passion is making weapons and work with metal, and he’s damn good at it. But other things - he’s not that great at them. For example - relationships. There’s this one girl, who he just can’t get out of his head and it seems like she can’t either. Somehow the two of them never seem to be courting for long, sometimes their relationship ends in an argument, sometimes they remain friends. But always it’s just the matter of time until they are back together - for one night or for longer, nobody knows what it will be this time.
As far as Cassian knows his father died of pneumonia soon after Cassian was conceived. He now has a step-father and two step-siblings. But what he doesn’t know is his father is alive. And he is the King of Solis, which makes Cassian his bastard son. The only few people who know the truth is the King, Cassian’s mother and the midwife, who helped during birth. They both were young and reckless and didn’t think of the future. As years went by the King kept his eye on Cassian. He wished he could help raise his son, be there for him, but that would out the well guarded secret. Cassian’s a great blacksmith, the King saw that and offered him to be a personal blacksmith for him and the Solis’ court, which, of course, Cassian agreed to. Hence the label Golden Boy - he’s young, great at what he does and successful. So now he mostly makes weapons and armor after King’s orders, but if he has some free time, he’ll make something for other’s too. A coin is a coin, isn’t it?

She was born from the noble Yu family of Eden. They originated from another country and settled in the Kingdom. They had become natives of Eden now as their family has made roots there for a century now.
Over the course of a century, they had married into nobility. There are many Knights who comes from their family as well, hence their clan is a notable and influential family in Eden.
Ying Xiu’s parents are very religious, they take the words of the church and oracles with great care.
Like any person born from a noble clan, Ying Xiu was supposed to be brought up as a noble lady whom will one day marry a noble man... Maybe even a prince if they were lucky.
Plans have changed due to one day at their church, the family visited an oracle to see what was in store for their future. The oracle pointed at Ying Xiu and said that she was the destined high priestess of the church.
Her family very easily gave her up to the church, not wanting to anger the gods.
She has lived most of her life inside the church walls, praising and honoring their gods. She has become the most favored and respect priestess in all of Eden even at a young age.
She rarely leaves the church and can mostly be found at the holy sanctuary where she tells her prophecy’s.
She is always protected by her followers, never allowed to be alone as they always fear for her life.
The superiors at their church also make sure that she never has human connection as much as possible. As is it was prophesied by the last high priestess that her life will be a doomed tragedy if she were to find love.
